Willie Ray Hubbard, age 73 of Manchester was born in Manchester, KY on June 9, 1947 to the late Estill and Eva Sizemore Hubbard and departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the Advent Health Hospital in Manchester. He was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed playing the Guitar especially Go Rest High, Gospel Music, watching UK Basketball, cutting Tobacco, and time with family and friends. He was a hard worker, an immensely helpful and humble person, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents: Estill and Eva Hubbard; a brother: Eugene Hubbard; and a granddaughter: Victoria Carr preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife: Betty Sue Hubbard of Manchester; 6 sons: Johnathan Jackson and fiancé Crystal Jones, Billy Ray Hubbard and wife Jacqueline, Justin Ryan Hubbard, and Brian Hubbard all of Manchester, David Hubbard and Elvis Hubbard and wife Tammy all of London; 3 daughters: Missy Jackson and Boyfriend Ernie Wagers of Lexington, Monica Namauu of Manchester, and Lorene Hubbard of London, KY; 22 grandchildren: Christian Jackson, Dawson Smallwood, Dominique Namauu, Hunter Jackson, Analise Namauu, Rocky Namauu, Gavin Namauu, Nicholas Namauu, Amanda Rader, Kayla Morgan, Christy Matthews, Brittany Mills, Austin Hubbard, Chris Hubbard, Leann Day, Jerrica Hubbard, Daniel Day, and Destiny Day; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Graveside Services for Mr. Willie Ray Hubbard will be conducted in the Hubbard Cemetery on Thursday, August 28, 2020 at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Mark Bowling officiating. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Thursday from 12 Noon to 1:30 P.M. for a limited visitation. Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, the family has requested all visitors wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
