Michael Paul Gambrel age 40 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, April 2, 2021 in UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the husband of Kimberly Black Gambrel and the son of Mary Gambrel and the late Leatus Gambrel. He was born on October 25, 1980 in Barbourville, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife Kimberly Gambrel of Corbin, his three children, Michal Paul Gambrel, Jr. and Jasmine Gambrel both of Corbin and Abbie Gambrel of Artemus, one grandson, Jonah McWilliams of Artemus, his mother, Mary Gambrel of Barbourville, one brother, James Gambrel and wife Jamie of Girdler, five sisters, Jennifer Gambrel of Barbourville, Ashley Tedders of Owens Hollow, Megan Gambrel of Flat Lick, Lesa Partin of Artemus and Kendra Gambrel of Flat Lick. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ray Dean and Garrett Black officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Hibbard, Michael Paul, Jr., Johnny Gambrel, Anthony Gambrel, Conner Tucker and James Gambrel. He will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
