Obituary for Melva Ann (Brock) Tarango (1957-2020)

Mrs. Melva Tarango, age 63 of London, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was the wife of Ralph Tarango and the daughter of Melvin Brock and Connie (Tyler) Brock born to them on April 4, 1957 in Palatka, Florida. Melva was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and taking care of her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Connie Brock.  

          Survivors include her husband Ralph Tarango of London, Kentucky, three sons Terry Witt and wife Sandra of London, James Gambrel and wife Redosha of Georgetown and Tony Brock and wife Tasha of Lily, three daughters, Lisa Gambrel-Partin and husband Dustin Partin of Heidrick, Roxanne Witt of London and Luci Brock and husband Melvin of Lexington, twelve grandchildren, Shade Witt, Charlotte Hobbs, Payton Gambrel, Devin Witt, Hayden Witt, Eli Gambrel, Ian Witt, Xavier Witt, Finn Gambrel, Dixie Partin, Melvin Barrios-Monzon and Lorena Barrios-Monzon, one great grandchild, Paisley Witt, one brother, John Brock and one sister, Barbara Frasher and husband Robert. Melva also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Melva Tarango will be private and will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home. with Rev. Donnie Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Witt, Tony Brock, James Gambrel, Shade Witt, Dustin Partin and Melvin Barrios-Monzon. She will be laid to rest in the Gross Cemetery at Woodbine. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

All services are required to be PRIVATE. This is effective Friday, November 20, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. and will continue for the next 24 days. 

Please note, during the ongoing pandemic, there will be capacity restrictions of twenty-five (25) people total, regardless of where the services are held. This includes visitations, funerals, memorial services and graveside or committal services. Social distancing guidelines of six feet apart will need to be followed as well during all our services. This will include wearing a face covering as mandated by the Governor of Kentucky for the safety of our families, visitors’ and staff.
