Mrs. Maxine Macnevin, age 79 of Trosper, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in the Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin. She was the widow of Percy John Macnevin and the daughter of Harrod and Cleo Roark, born to them on June 2, 1944 in Knox County. Maxine enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Percy John Macnevin, her parents, Harrod and Cleo Roark, one sister, Alice Cleaver and one brother Millard Roark.
Left behind to mourn her passing, one son Michael Macnevin and wife Tammy of Trosper, four grandchildren, Haley Macnevin, Cody Macnevin, Jonathan Macnevin and wife Elizabeth and Shawn Macnevin, five great-grandchildren, Aubree, Kinsley, Blake, Laklynn and Aurelia. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Maxine Macnevin will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Tinsley Cemetery at Trosper. Pallbearers will be, Art Hinkle, Mickey Brown, Cody Macnevin, Sam Davis, Cameron Cole and Korey Merida. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
