Mrs. Martha Ann Brown Carter, 67, of Corbin, passed away Friday morning, November 1, 2024 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was born June 30, 1957 in Knox County to the late Steve and Lucille Gambrel Brown.
Martha was a former waitress at Traveler’s Restaurant, nurse aide and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed applying make-up and perfume and reading. Martha also loved the twists and turns of CSI shows, but most enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Sue, Earlene and Lucy; brothers, Harold, Bobby, Ronnie and Tony; a niece, Melissa Brown and nephews, Chris Taylor and Caleb Hobbs.
Survivors include her loving children, Bobby Jean Brown, Floetta Brown and Jennifer Bingham and husband, Doug, all of Corbin and April Brown of Florida; a sister, Joyce Grubb of Corbin; brothers, Donnie, Stevie and Paul Brown all of Corbin; grandchildren, Carrie Young and husband, Randall, Timothy Martin, Malachi Saunders, Joshua, Jacob, Lucas, Jaden and Kaden Bingham; great grandchildren, Waylon and Roen Martin; special nieces, Becky Skinner and Kricket Snyder; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, November 9 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Aaron Bargo officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday after 12 Noon until the time of service.
