Marjorie Wells age 93 of Metamora, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2022. She was born on June 18, 1929 in Whitley County, Kentucky, the daughter of Herman Wells and Edna (Logan) Wells. Marjorie was a member of the Old River Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Edna Wells and two brothers, Harold Keith Wells and James Earl Wells.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her two nephews, James Keith Wells and wife Anita of Metamora, Indiana and David Earl Wells and wife Michelle of Milroy, Indiana, four nieces, Rita Faye Euers of North Vernon, Indiana, Peggy Jo Williams of Connersville, Indiana, Betty Ruth Caroll and husband Bob of Westport, Indiana and Regina Lowery and husband Russell of South Carolina. She also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Wells will be conducted on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Rev. James Wells and Rev. Mark Bailey officiating. Pallbearers will be family. She will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery, South Hwy 11, Barbourville, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be family. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
