Mrs. Marilyn Smith, 56, of Woollum, passed away Thursday evening, July 8, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late McKinley Keen Jr. and Gracie Hicks Keen born on May 18, 1965 at Oneida.
Marilyn was a former data entry operator with Exela Technologies and a member of the Rock Springs Community Church. She dearly loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and family dinners.
On July 11, 1985, she united in marriage with Kenneth Smith and to this union a daughter was born.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kenneth Smith of Woollum; beloved daughter, Kayla Mills and husband, Jeremy, of Woollum; four sisters, Carolyn Jones and husband, Terry, of Manchester, Donna Davenport and husband, Bobby, of Richmond, Paige Keen and Joanie Hoskins and husband, Benny Ray, all of Manchester; a brother, Jimmy Keen of Manchester; two grandchildren, Brady and Kaylee Mills; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, July 14 at 1 P.M. with Chad Abner and Kathy Justice officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Calvin Jordan Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Josh Napier, Jason Hensley, Daniel Hibbard, Jeremy Mills, Brady Mills, Kameron Rose, Dustin Keen and Benny Ray Hoskins. Honorary bearers will be nephews and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
