Ms. Marilyn Kay Smith, 66, of Gray, passed away Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Smith Sr. and Christine Branstutter Smith born April 20, 1955 in Barbourville.
Marilyn was an Aisin employee, a former nurse aide at area nursing homes and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending flowers and worked hard all of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Smith.
Survivors include a brother, Eugene Smith Jr. and wife, Kaenjant, of Barbourville; a brother-in-law, Lonnie Smith of Gray; aunts, Billie Jo Bays of Bull Run and Janice Wiseman and husband, Carl, of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, August 20 at 7 P.M. with Rev. James Paul officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Brittain Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 5 P.M. until the time of service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
