Barbourville, Ky. – Marie Partin, 73, passed away October 12, 2021. Marie was the daughter of Mary O’Quinn and Bill O’Quinn, born to them on September 10, 1948 in Saltville, Virginia.
Marie lived a simple, private life. She was a devoted wife to Charles Edward Partin and a loving mother to her five children. Marie created a comfortable home for her family and always made sure she was available to her children whenever they needed her. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed reading and watching science fiction movies.
In addition to her parents, Mary O’Quinn and Bill O’Quinn, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Edward Partin, two daughters, Morgan Partin, and Rachel O’Quinn, and five siblings, May, Nioka, Ellen, Norman, and Bobbie.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her sons, Arthur Partin (Cathy Lynn), and James Partin (Amber), and daughter Debbie Manning. Ten siblings also survive Marie and will remember her fondly: Judy, Louise, Betty, Larry, Jeff, Donald, Alberta, Rosa, Audrey, and Oscar.
Visitation for Marie will be on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hopper Funeral Home from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in the Frakes Cemetery at Pleasant Grove, Kentucky. Pallbearers are Cory Hubbard, Denzel Hamblin, Daniel Hamblin, Ricky Hatfield, Anthony Miracle, Arthur Partin, and James Partin.
