Mrs. Margaret Ann Hamilton, 69, of Davis Bend, passed away Saturday morning, May 11, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Hazel Scalf Hudson born September 8, 1954 at Heidrick.
Margaret was a devoted homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved her family and most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On April 7, 1972, she united in marriage with William G. “Bill” Hamilton II at Heidrick and to this union two sons were born.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Tip and Kenneth Hudson; a sister, Colleen Carnes and a daughter-in-law, Shara Hamilton.
Survivors include her loving husband of over 52 years, Bill Hamilton of Davis Bend; sons, William G. Hamilton III and wife, Leah, of Bailey Switch and Christopher Brian Hamilton and wife, Kristi, of Davis Bend; a sister, Nannie Mae Ballard; cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob and Brady Hamilton, Karissa Buchanan and Abigail Jenkins and husband, Cody; great-grandchildren, Carter Jenkins, Amelia Shields and Willow Jenkins, who is expected to arrive soon; sisters of the heart, Debbie Sizemore and Beverly Hudson; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Patterson Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating.
Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Hudson, Charlie Hudson, Dexter Carnes, Rick Carnes, Mike Warren and Thomas Levering. Serving as honorary bearers will be Virgil Moore, Johnny Wilder, James Miller and Henry Sizemore.
The family would like to thank the staff of the UK Markey Cancer Center and Bluegrass Care Navigators for the excellent care they provided Margaret.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
