Mrs. Lynn Mills, 72, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, April 29, 2023 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mossie Beatrice Rose White born on November 28, 1950 in Knox County.
Flora was a retired bus monitor from the Knox County Public Schools and a member of the River Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
On May 22, 1969, she united in marriage with Roy Mills and to this union two children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Jean Fultz and two brothers, Randal and Donald White.
Survivors include her loving husband of over 53 years, Roy Mills of Barbourville; her beloved children, Gina Cole and husband, Michael, and Roy Mills Jr. and wife, Serena, all of Barbourville; treasured grandchildren, Jessica Messer, Brittany Abrams, Joshua, Lynnsey and Sarah Cole, Makayla Buckner, Chloe and Allie Mills; great grandchildren, Makenzi and Fallon Gray and Rowan Abrams; a special niece, Dena Fultz and her family; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Lynn’s life will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, May 3 at 4 P.M. with Rev. Dewayne Smith and Rev. James McDonald officiating.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Bluegrass Hospice Care, Dr. Richard Carter, Dr. Abigail Byrnes and their staff.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 2 P.M. until the service time.
