Mrs. Lulu Jean Kirkpatrick, age 92 of Barbourville, departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Lee Kirkpatrick and the daughter of Nelson Fink and Rose (Cripe) Fink born to them on December 25, 1931 in Elkhart, Indiana. Lula was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Barbourville. She enjoyed helping out at the Christian Life Food Pantry when she was able.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Rose Fink, her husband Joseph Kirkpatrick, two sons, Carl Lambright and Terry Kirkpatrick, one daughter, Rena Jones and one sister, Mildred Elliott.
Left behind to mourn her passing, one son, S. Keith Kirkpatrick and wife Mary Ann of Missouri, four daughters, Lori Boyer and husband Kevin of Van Buren, Indiana Sue Bowling and husband David of London, Kentucky, Joeen Bright of Barbourville and Cheryl Ottwell of Wood River, Illinois, a son in law, Carl Jones of Concord, New Hampshire, seventeen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu Kirkpatrick will be conducted on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Roy Eversole and Rev. Samuel Lawson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
