Mr. Lowell Andrew Fuson, 80, of Artemus, passed away Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the late Wiley and June Barnes Fuson born on August 25, 1942 in Bell County.
Lowell was a former sawmill worker and of the Holiness faith. He enjoyed digging roots, exploring the mountains, whittling wood carvings and spending time with his grandchildren.
In 1970, he united in marriage with Wilma Fuson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Denver and William Fuson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wilma Fuson of Artemus; three children, Joann Thompson and husband, David, of Barbourville; Gary Fuson and wife, Angie, and Larry Fuson and wife, Mattie Peters, all of Artemus; seven grandchildren, Stephen Nipper, Brittany Hammons, Gary Michael, Skylar and Madison Fuson, Jadance Hale and Abigail Smith; four great grandchildren, Ally and Tucker Hammons, Mason and Emma Nipper; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, August 7 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jon Morris officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Tinsley Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Gary Fuson, Larry Fuson, Gary Michael Fuson, Stephen Nipper, Josh Hammons, Jamie Caddel and Bret Sizemore.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
