Ms. Louella Marie Hampton, 68, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Monday afternoon, April 3, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Artemus. She was the daughter of the late A. L. and Kathleen Helton Phipps born on September 18, 1954 in Barbourville.
Louella was a retired CNA and a member of the Lovell Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with horses, riding motorcycles and listening to music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mae and Donna Phipps and three brothers, Leamon, Roamon and James Phipps.
Survivors include her loving children, Robert Anthony Hampton of Zephryhills, FL, Aaron Hampton and wife, Heather, of Mebane, NC, Brandon Hampton and wife, Carrie, of Lakeland, FL and Jessica Elliott and husband, Rodney, of Artemus; two sisters, Truleen Phipps Morgan and husband, Larry, of Lexington and Melinda Sutherland and husband, Terry, of Roanoke, VA; five brothers, Codell Phipps of Columbia, Bolin Phipps and wife, Marsha, of Rome, GA, Ray Phipps and wife, Connie, of Gray, John Phipps of Barbourville and Bill Phipps and wife, Lois, of Lily; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Carol Phipps of Bimble and Bonnie Phipps of Villa Rica, GA; a host of nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, April 7 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dale Phipps officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Phipps Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Robert Hampton, Aaron Hampton, Brandon Hampton, Jacob Phipps, Dakota Phipps and Jonah Sutherland.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
