Mr. Lonnie Mills, 69, of Scalf, passed away Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019 at his home. He was the son of the late Ben and Hallie Smith Mills born on January 18, 1950 at Scalf.
Lonnie was a former press operator with McCall Printing Co. in Dayton, OH and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, also in Dayton, OH. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering with cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana Robinson and Beulah Smith and two brothers, C. T. and Don Mills.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Estrada and husband, Ted, of Glendale, AZ; four sisters, Ora Lee Puckett of Turkey Creek, Anna Sue Mills and husband, Randall, of Carlisle, OH, Norma Jean Rawlins and husband, Bob, of Troy, OH and Bonnie Neely and husband, Jim, of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Ben Mills Jr. and wife, Armarita, of Mills Creek; five grandchildren, T. J. Estrada and wife, Cassie, Christopher Estrada and wife, Crystal, Lonnie Estrada and wife, Melissa, Daniel Estrada and Sara Morris and husband, Isaac; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a very special sister to Kim, Emily Heitman of Arizona; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, December 15 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Erik Peavley officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Long Tom Mills Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Steve Hunter, Rob Rawlins, James Edwards, Mike Mills, Wade Cobb IV, Joe Gilbert, Allen Mills and Scott Mills.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
