Ms. Lois Marie Helton, 67, of Gray, passed away Wednesday morning, May 4, 2022 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Hazel Foley Helton born on August 25, 1954 at Gray.
Lois was the former director of the Knox County Senior Citizens Center, of the Baptist faith and a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carlyle Foley; a niece, Teresa Walters and a brother-in-law, Bobbie Ray Walters.
Survivors include a loving sister, Bertha Walters of Gray; a great niece, Alicia Adams of Gray; a great nephew, Brian Leath and wife, Brandy, of Corbin; great-great nieces and nephews, Rayah Miller, Christopher Adams, Lyra Leath, Brian J. Leath and Roselynn Leath; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, May 8 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Foley-Gray Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
