Lee Roy Mills, age 80, of Gray, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
Born in Knox County, KY, he was the son of the late Birt Mills and Manda Merido Mills. He enjoyed being outside and spent much of his life as a farm laborer. He was also passionate about hunting, but most of all Lee Roy loved his garden and gardening with others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings, Addison Mills, Tom Mills, Sam Mills, Em Doc Mills, Lonzon Mills, Kenneth Mills Birt Mills Jr., Eliza Moncrift, and Roy Mills; and his life-long best friend, David Medlin.
He is survived by five siblings, Irene McCuen, Will Mills, Lorene Mitchell, Audrey Broughton, and Joyce Early; and by close friends, Tammie and Verlin Medlin and their kids, and Darrell and Pat Medlin and their kids.
The family will gather to share in his memory at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Gray Cemetery in Gray, KY, where his burial will follow.
