Mr. Larry Criss Smith, age 67 of Heidrick, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the St. Joseph Hospital in London. He was the son of Joseph Smith and Bertha (Owens) Smith born to them on February 17, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Larry was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle. He had been a brick mason during his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening in his free time. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Smith.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his son Randy Lowe and wife Shawna of Heidrick, his daughter, Melissa Willis and husband David of Barbourville, his two brothers Ronnie Smith and wife Leona of Barbourville and Michael Smith of Keavy, five sisters, Lynda Church of Keavy, Darlene Gumm and husband Kenny of Somerset, Sharon Lambert and husband Lewis of Annville, Connie Helton and Phyllis Hensley both of Corbin, three grandchildren, Tristan Lowe, Jordan Willis and Meghan Jones, three great grandchildren, Caisen Gray, Caiden Jones and Camden Justice and his former wife Brenda Smith. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Smith will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Stevens and Rev. Ron Mosher officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. He will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
Please remember, face coverings will be required and social distancing guidelines of six feet apart will need to be followed during all our services. This is for the safety of our families, visitors and staff.
