Obituary for Kim Aleta Rose (1956-2024)

Ms. Kim Aleta Rose, 68, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, December 14, 2024 at her home.  She was born March 5, 1956 in Corbin, to the late Ernie and Lena Marie Messer Rose.

Kim was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and especially liked the “Oldies”.  Kim always took pride in looking her best, especially through her love of make-up, which allowed her to express her personality and confidence.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joey Wayne Rose and Raymond Barry Rose.

Survivors include her loving sister, Erna Sizemore of Barbourville; nieces and nephew, Brandy Hildebrand and husband, Caleb, Tabitha Barnes and husband, Dave, Lillian Tia Matskovskaya and husband, Vassiliy Matskovskiy, and Jared Sizemore; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, December 20 at 7 P.M. with Rev. Pam Reed officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Gray Saturday, December 21 at 2 P.M.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 5 P.M. until the funeral hour.  Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Saturday at 1 P.M. and travel in procession to the cemetery.
