Mrs. Kathleen Ann White, 72, of Cannon, the widow of Leroy White, passed away Saturday morning, December 21, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on August 21, 1952 in Dayton Ohio to the late Carl F. and Claudia Williams Hanneken.
Kathleen was a former civil engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dianna Rios; a brother, Timothy Hanneken and brothers-in-law, Johnny Wilson and John Spivey.
Survivors include her children, James White and wife, Ashley, of Corbin and Jodie Gambrel of London; step-sons, Johnny White, Wayne White and Darrel White all of Corbin, Billy White of London and Leroy White Jr. and wife, Amy, of Bowling Green; sisters, Pamela Harmon and husband, Frank, of Dayton, OH, Carla Wilson of Shallotte, NC and Lisa Spivey of Gaston, SC; grandchildren, Annabell, Hannah, Joleen, Bentley, Tay-Shun, Ty-Reese and Memphis; special friends, Christine Spence and husband, John, and Sharon Rogers; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, December 27 at 2 P.M. She will be laid to rest in the Bruce Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the time of service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
