Joyce Ann Brown Lowe age 64 of Girdler, KY, was born in Barbourville, KY on October 16, 1955 to the late Ford and Dorothy Brown and departed this life on March 5, 2020 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Joyce was a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer Church, and enjoyed going to church, taking care of her home and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, 1 brother: Roy Brown, 1 sister: Sundean Nottingham and a special Mother in law Maggie Lowe preceded her in death.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband: James Lowe of Girdler, KY; 2 sons: James D. Lowe and wife Melinda of Hinkle, KY and Harvey Lowe and wife Mary of Girdler, Ky; 1 brother: Blev Brown of Bimble, KY; 5 sisters: Virginia Neil of East Bernstadt, KY, Debbie Simmons, Ruby Broughton and Husband Quentin both of Barbourville, KY, Brenda McVey and husband Jesse of Bimble, KY and Teresa Lambert and husband Tommy of Hinkle, KY, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Lowe will be conducted in the Old Ark House of Prayer Church Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowe Family Cemetery with Travis Lowe, Jonathon Lowe, Ivan Burnette, Jr., Ford Lee Simmons, Joseph Simmons, and Cody Smith serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Old Ark House of Prayer Monday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M., Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Wednesday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2.
