Obituary for Johnny Wayne Mills (1954-2021)

Johnny Wayne Mills, age 66 of Woolum was born in Fount, KY on June 23, 1954 to the late Robert and Louise Brock Mills and departed this life on March 22, 2021 in the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.  He was a member of Horn Branch Baptist Church and enjoyed riding Bikes, taking Walks, caring for his pets, watching the 3-Stooges, Sanford & Son, Andy Griffith, and Gun Smoke, working on electronics, helping others, and time with family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, a daughter: Christy Elaine Mills, 2 brothers: Walter “Bill” Mills, and Robert “Bobby” Mills, Jr.; and 2 sisters: Norma Sue Burton and Phyllis Mills preceded him in death.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife: Ellamae Mills of Woolum; 2 sons: John Andy Ray Mills of Woolum and Andrew Mills of London; a daughter: Tiffany Michelle Minton of Bimble; a stepson: Michael Broughton of Woolum; 4 brothers: Lloyd Mills and wife Helen of Bimble, Carlos Mills and wife Barbara of Barbourville, Joseph Combs, and James Combs and wife Beckie all of Davenport, IO; 5 sisters: Cleo Minton and husband Carl and Angie Wagner and husband Larry all of Bimble; Jennifer Mills and fiancé Austin Davidson of Flat Lick, Alice Adams and husband Mark of Slemp, KY, and Bonnie Hart and husband John of Davenport, IO; special friend Melissa Bingham of Corbin, KY: special dog: Oden; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.   

Funeral Services for Mr. Johnny Mills will be conducted in the Horn Branch Baptist Church on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Roger Liford and Rev. Lamon Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Nan Riley Cemetery with Josh Trosper, Austin Davidson, Chene Blakley, Ben Parker, Daniel Heath, and Andrew Blakley serving as Pallbearers.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Horn Branch Baptist Church Saturday from 12:00 Noon to the funeral hour at 4.  Due to the continuing Covid- 19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor on gatherings all who attend all who attend will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
