Mr. Johnny Gray, 87, of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday morning, November 24, 2020 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was the son of the late Dempsey and Mary Gambrel Gray born on February 25, 1933 in Bell County.
Johnny was a retired maintenance supervisor with Knox County Hospital and a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, playing bluegrass music and woodworking. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army.
On February 21, 1998, he united in marriage with Joan Harris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jowana Gray Patterson and siblings, Ivory Gray, Elsie Epperson, Dan Gray, Arnold Gray, Luster Gray and Beech Gray.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joan Gray of Barbourville; three children, Diana Gray Hunt and husband, Randal, of London, Suzanne Oberting and husband, Neil, of Cincinnati, OH and Stephen Owens and wife, Brittany, of Barbourville; grandchildren, Laura Yount and husband, David, Kaela Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Ethan Lester, Addison, Faith and Easton Owens, Taylor Hunt, Sara Stifano, Ali Hicks and Jake Linstruth; great grandchildren, Kastyn, Lakely, Josie Ann, Sophia Louise, Abigail and Charlotte; among other loved ones an dear friends.
A private graveside service will be conducted in the Dozier Cemetery Wednesday, November 25 with Rev. Josh Smith officiating.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
