Obituary for John “JW” Warren (1934-2020)

Mr. John ‘JW’ Will Warren, age 85, departed this life on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his home in Hinkle, Kentucky.  He was the son of Elige and Tressie (Payne) Warren, born to them on December 7, 1934 in Hinkle, Kentucky.  He united in marriage to the late Linda Gayle Warren on December 24, 1960 and to this union four daughters were born.  He is survived by his current wife Bobbie (Jones) Warren.  JW was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, and loved fishing, playing music and spending time with his friends, the McDonalds crew.

John was preceded in death by his loving first wife Linda Gayle Warren, brothers Gene Warren and Nelson Warren, and step sons Kenny and Michael Jones.

Left behind to mourn his passing are wife Bobbie (Jones) Warren of Hinkle, Kentucky, daughters Pamela Warren of Frankfort, Kentucky, Deneen Howard and husband Phil of Frankfort, Kentucky, Gina Jones and husband Sam of Greenroad, Kentucky, Angie Lay and husband Chris of Artemus, Kentucky, step son Harold Jones and wife Dewana of Greenroad, Kentucky, brothers James Warren and wife Bertha of Eminence, Kentucky, Lyle Dean and wife Pam of Eminence, Kentucky, and sister Sue Jackson and husband Cliff of Eminence, Kentucky, grandchildren Jacob, Samantha, Brad, Katie, Jamie, Alli, Evan and Adam, great grandchildren Parker, Alyvia, Sammy, Dylan, Callie, Bradlyn, Brooks, Demi, Natalie, Abby, Lincoln and Judd.  He also leaves behind many relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. “JW” Warren will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend David Barnard and Reverend Herby Hoskins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Warren Family Cemetery in Hinkle, Kentucky.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
