John Henry Lambdin, a compassionate and resilient man of Barbourville, Kentucky, passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on August 30, 1945, in Warren, Kentucky, John spent his life serving his community and sharing his strong faith. He was a dedicated member of the Buffalo Baptist Church where he loved to share his testimony with everyone. As a retired forklift mechanic from American Greetings, John was known for his tenacity and dedication. He was a passionate UK fan, often proudly sporting his UK attire.
John is lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Karla Lambdin of Rockholds, KY.; his granddaughter, LeeAnn and her husband, Matt of Rockholds, KY; his special great-grandson, Connor Hicks of Rockholds, KY; and his sisters, Yvonne Kelly and her husband Rev. JR of Barbourville, KY., Peggy Henderson and her husband Lloyd of Barbourville, KY, and Thelma Yaeger and her husband John of Shepherdsville, KY. Bernadette Lambdin of Williamsburg, KY. the mother of his son, also survives him along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who mourn his passing. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie (Owens) Lambdin, his beloved wife, Barbara Lambdin, his cherished son, John Gregory (Greg) Lambdin, his brothers, Jim and Jackie Lambdin, and his sister, Sue Hensley.
The visitation and funeral service will be held at the Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, 40769. The visitation will commence at 11:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm. The burial service will be held at 2:00pm at the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Williamsburg, Kentucky, 40769. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the excellent staff at the Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and friendship they provided to John.
