Mr. Jimmie Cox age 72 of Flat Lick departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home. He was the son of Richard Cox and Rosie (Messer) Cox, born to them on February 11, 1949.
Mr. Cox was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from General Motors Corporation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing golf, playing cards, driving and riding in his truck; he also loved animals and nature.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Fran Cox, his parents, Richard and Rosie Cox, two brothers, Bill Cox and Bob Cox and two sisters, Tressa Mae and Geraldine.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving daughters, Regina Tucker and husband Jeffery of Pontiac, Michigan and Amanda Petrey and fiance’ Zachary Roaden of Flat Lick, six grandchildren, Miranda Tucker and Daniel Tucker both of Pontiac, Michigan, Bethany Black of Michigan and Madison Black, Clayton Petrey and Scarlett Roaden all of Flat Lick. one brother, John Cox and wife Sally of Callebs Creek, two sisters, Chelsia Lee and Sylvia “Troy” Roark of Michigan. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
A memorial service for Mr. Jimmie Cox will be held in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with the family officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday December 9th and 10th from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon until the service at 2:00 p.m. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
