Ms. Jessie Marie Elliott, 74, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, October 2, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Nadine Goodin Elliott born on August 30, 1947 in Bell County.
Jessie was a homemaker and a member of the Heritage of Truth Church. She enjoyed walking around town, shopping, traveling and giving gifts. She dearly loved people and never met a stranger, enjoyed spending time with her family and loved going to church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Payne and a brother, William James Elliott.
Survivors include two sisters, Imogene Smith of Barbourville and Darlene Smith of Jarvis; a brother, Lonnie Elliott and wife, Nadine, of Barbourville; a sister-in-law, Doris Elliott of Cannon; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, October 8 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Craig Thomas officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Rick Rogers, Devin Wagers, Johnny Elliott, Bill Elliott, Austin Hobbs, Ted Hobbs, Robert Smith and Dale Smith. Honorary bearers will be Dr. James West and the staff of the Barbourville ARH Hospital.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
