Ms. Jessica Ann Baker, 46, of Barbourville, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was the daughter of Cynthia Ann Vaughn Baker and the late David Hugh Baker born November 1, 1978 in Barbourville.
Jessica was a peer support specialist with Recovery Ridge. She was a free spirit who enjoyed shopping, cooking, listening to music and helping others through her job and caring for her beloved dog, Cash. Jessica was a recovering addict who had proudly been clean since June 25, 2022.
In addition to her father, David Hugh Baker, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Garrett and Helen Jean Vaughn and Curtis and Catherine Baker and brother, Michael Wayne Helton.
Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Martin of Barbourville; mother, Cynthia Ann Baker of Barbourville; step-sister, Lindsay McFerrin of Barbourville; sister-in-law, Sherrie Lee Helton, of Pineville; step-mother, Carolyn McFerrin; aunts, Lillie Messer, Betty Yeager and Carolyn Bowling; nieces, Chloe Elayne Helton and Sarah Helton; great-niece and nephew, Journey Fernandez and Malcolm Bailey; cousins, Shane Davis, Angela Landrum, Cindi Yeager, Charmarie Burton, Shane Mattingly, April Hubbard, Jeremiah Lay, Chuck Yeager, Tara Baker, Sharron Mattingley; boyfriend, Bryan Miller; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, July 12 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Sam Grigsby officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Chuck Yeager, Shane Davis, Christian Fernandez, Ron Garland, Kihran McFerrin, Bryan Miller and Richard Honeycutt.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday from 6 until 8 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
