Mrs. Jerry Ruth Perry, 87, of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, August 26, 2023 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Noah Harrison and Pearl Victoria Fultz Lockard born July 15, 1936 in Barbourville.
Jerry was a former chef for American Airlines, a homemaker and member of Henderson Chapel. She loved to cook and could make almost any meal. She enjoyed canning and listening to country and gospel music. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
On February 23, 1956, she united in marriage with Warren William Perry in Cincinnati, OH.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Warren, dearly loved sons, Warren William “Bubby” Perry Jr.,Terry, Jerry and Tinie Perry; brothers, Duke, Jason, Wade, Lymond, Pud, Pete and Bruce Lockard and sisters, Joyce Payne, Linda Lykins and Brenda Smith.
Survivors include her loving children, Victoria Centers and husband, Johnny, of Cleveland, TN, Rebecca Perry and Tony Miller of Clay City, Angel Perry and Edwin Barker of Benton, TN, Annetta Powers and Darrell Marrow of Cleveland, TN and Nicole and husband, David, of Winchester; a sister, Jane Messer and husband, Oleth, of Plano, IL; grandchildren, Johnny Centers Jr., Jesse Centers, Jackie Centers, Cassie Lay, Nicole Duggan, Jason Perry, Heather Hembree, Jennifer Powers, Tiffeny Johnson, Jerry Lynn Perry and Billie Rochelle Perry; great-grandchildren, Johnny Centers III, Jacob Centers, Jaylee Centers, Joseph Centers, Jaclyn Centers, Camea Centers, Joanna Centers, Jessleigh Centers, Jasmine Centers, James Clark, Jeffery Clark, Emerson Barnes, Iverson Barnes, Kassy Duggan, Orell Duggan, Jimmy Duggan, Ray Duggan, Caden Perry, Brody Perry, Gavin Perry, Bryce Perry, Johnathon Perry, John Girdner, Jason Girdner, Joie Girdner, Ju’elz Burgos, Maria Johnson, Olivia Kendrick, Anthony Perry, Leeland Evertt, Emery Cunningham and Kingsley Lamoore; great-great-grandchildren, Ryker Snyder, Koa Hayes, Lucas Centers and Elizabeth Centers; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, September 1 at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. Bobby Drew Lawson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mayhew Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Johnny Centers Jr., Jesse Centers, Jason Perry, Scott Clark, Chuck Smith and Logan Smith.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
