Mr. Jeffrey Loyd Mills, 43, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2020 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was the son of Loyd W. and JoAnn Gambrel Mills born on November 7, 1976 in Pineville.
Jeff was a heavy equipment operator with Alden Resources and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed being outdoors four-wheeling and watching it rain.
On November 18, 2011, he united in marriage with Kimberly Miles.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kim Miles Mills of Barbourville; his parents, Loyd and JoAnn Mills of Barbourville; four beloved children, Justin Mills and wife, Lindsay, of Barbourville, Tyler Mills of Flat Lick, Courtney Rowe and husband, Collin, of Corbin and Toni Mills of Barbourville; a brother, Steve Mills and wife, Jennifer, of London; a treasured grandson, Caison Butler; a nephew, Logan Mills; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, October 15 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Samuel Lawson and Bro. Lonnie Collett officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Collin Rowe, Ronnie Meeks, Brian Smith, John Singleton, Devin Eubanks, Jaxen Warren and Jeremy Williams. Honorary bearers will be his friends and neighbors.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
