Obituary for Janet Lynn (Hatfield) Grubbs (1976-2021)

Janet Lynn (Hatfield) Grubbs, age 44 of Barbourville formerly of Louisville, was born in Pineville, KY on April 22, 1976 to Bill Hatfield and the late Janette Partin and departed this life on January 30, 2021 at her home.  She was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed cooking, taking walks, camping, and time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Janette Partin; and her maternal grandparents: Virgil Mason, Sr., Dorothy Ann Mullins.

She is survived by her husband: John Paul Grubbs of Hart County, KY; her father: Bill Hatfield and wife Donna of Middlesboro, KY; a son: John Michael Grubbs; 3 daughters: Meighan Smith and husband Matthew of Pineville, and Kimberly Joanna Barnett and husband Charles, and Luci Belle Hatfield all of Middlesboro; 2 brothers: Bill Hatfield and Brandon Hatfield both of Middlesboro; 2 sisters: Kayla Miracle and husband Matthew, and Amanda Jones and husband Lance all of Middlesboro; 4 grandchildren: Kira Smith, Lorenzo Barnett, Ashe Smith, and Abby Grubbs; companion of 2 years: Timothy Warren of Barbourville; special uncle: Virgil Mason of Pineville; special friend: Paul Grubbs of Rutlidge, TN; and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Grubbs will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Charles Barnett officiating.  Family and friends will gather in the Pine Lawn Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. for the Committal Service.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Wednesday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.  Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor gatherings will be limited and all who attend will be required to wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
