James Theodore Walker, age 47 of Corbin, was born in Chicago, IL on February 5, 1973 to the late Jerry Joe Walker and Doris Marie Grubb Walker and departed this life on June 5, 2020 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed making people laugh, trading Motorcycles and other items, and time with family and friends.
His father: Jerry Joe Walker preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving mother: Doris Walker of Williamsburg; his wife Sheila Walker of Corbin; a son: James Walker, Jr. of Corbin; a daughter: Sarah Walker of Corbin; 2 brothers: Jerry Walker of Dyersburg, TN, and Tommy Walker of Corbin, KY; 2 sisters: Katherine Sullivan and husband Ronnie of Corbin and Jessica Strean and Brian of Williamsburg; 6 nieces: Amber Strean, Savannah Strean, Brook Sullivan, Amanda Sullivan, Kayla Sullivan, and Megan Walker; 2 nephews: Michael Walker and David Walker; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. James Walker will be conducted on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Emlyn Cemetery with Brian Hammons, Tommy Walker, Jerry Walker, Ronnie Sullivan, Kevin Grubb, and Ted Grubb serving as pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call for a limited visitation on Friday from 1:00 P.M. to the funeral hour at 3.
