James Rodney Philpot, age 44 of Artemus, KY left this world on Wednesday February 7, 2024. Rodney was a craftsman that could build or fix almost anything. He enjoyed fishing, driving around nowhere in particular in his truck eating. That boy loved to eat, especially Ice Cream. Rodney never met a stranger, was hilarious, and loved to talk.
Rodney’s favorite person in the world was his Mom: Elaine Elliott, whom he loved more than Ice Cream. His Children were his greatest Blessing: Ryan Messer and wife Savannah., Tayler Kerr and husband Josh, and Bailee Philpot; he once said they were the only things he ever got right. Rodney loved to torment and send crazy videos to his sister: Wendy Brewer. He also leaves behind his stepfather: Kevin Elliott; a brother-in-law: Melvin Brewer; nieces: Kennadi Fields, and Kassie Chance (Ryan), a Nephew: Ethan Brewer; a grandson: Ryker Messer; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends to mourn his passing.
Rodneys life will be celebrated by his family in a private Ceremony.
