James Floyd Lowe, age 71 of Girdler, was born in Gray, KY on September 12, 1949 to the late Harvey and Maggie Lowe and departed this life on November 17, 2020 at his home. He was a member of Old Ark House of Prayer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting up, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, his wife: Joyce Lowe; 4 brothers: John Lowe, J William Lowe, Holbert Lowe and E S Lowe; and 6 sisters: Pauline Trosper, Mary Trosper, Ruth Frye, Lucy Kelly, Lottie May Lowe, and Helen Baker preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children: James Duran Lowe and wife Melinda of Girdler and Harvey Lowe and wife Mary of Barbourville; 2 brothers: Roy Lowe of Boone Height and Junior Lowe of Raleigh, NC; a sister: Lori Frye of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. James Lowe will be conducted in the Old Ark House of Prayer on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Roy Eversole and Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowe Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Old Ark House of Prayer Friday Evening from 5 to 10 P.M. and Saturday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 1. Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor gatherings will be limited to 25 people and all who attend will be required to wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
