Mr. James Edward “Smiley” Teague, age 75 of Barbourville was born on June 9, 1949 to the late William A. Teague and Sarah Mullis Teague and departed this life on December 10, 2024 in the Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pineville. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed riding Horses, being outside, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, 2 sisters: Rose Lee and Eva Sharp preceded him in death.
Smiley is survived by his loving children: James Robert Teague and wife Anna Marie of Barbourville, and Jennifer Lynn Teague of Williamsburg; a brother-in-law: Don Sharp of Rockhold; 6 grandchildren: Aaron Senters, Jasmine Elswick, Sarah Teague, Journey Teague, Gabriel Teague, and Madaline Teague; 4 great grandchildren: Raylan Elswick, Wyatt Elswick, Gatlin Sizemore, and Joplin Elswick; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Mr. James “Smiley” Teague will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 8:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Burial will be private to the family. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Saturday Evening from 6:00 PM to the funeral hour at 8.
