Hobert Benson Davenport, age 79 of Bimble was born in Knox County, KY on July 18, 1941 to the late John and Nancy Fields Davenport and departed this life on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was a member of Friendship Holiness Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, 2 sons: Randy Lee Davenport, and Hobert Davenport, Jr.; 2 brothers: Estill Davenport and Boone Davenport; and 2 sisters: Pauline Patterson and Opal Patterson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife: Glenda Davenport of Bimble; a daughter: Selena Peace and fiancé Frank of Corbin; 2 sons: Kenneth Davenport and wife Angie of Georgia, and Brian Davenport and fiancé Jody Ann of Missouri; 2 brothers: Arlis Davenport and wife Teresa of Barbourville, and Kenneth Davenport and wife Charlene of OH; a sister: Mavis Engle of Corbin; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hobert Davenport will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Sunday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2. Due to the continuing Covid- 19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor on gatherings all who attend all who attend will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
