Hettie Saylor Whitehead Brock, age 81 of Pineville, KY departed this life, August 25, 2021 at Barbourville Nursing Home. Hettie was born May 16, 1940 to the late Allie and Oscar Saylor in Stoney fork, KY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe S. Whitehead and James E. Brock; children Lloyd Whitehead, Eddie Wayne Whitehead, Roger Whitehead and Martha Sue Taylor; brother Levi Saylor; sisters Liza Hoskins and Maybel Saylor.
Survivors include her children, Adamae Smith of Barbourville, KY, Shirley (Gary) McKeehan of Barbourville, KY, James (Priscilla) Whitehead of Pineville, KY, Hobert (Jessica) Whitehead of Pineville, KY and Billy Joe (Shanda) Whitehead of Calvin, KY; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Laura Saylor of Bledsoe, KY, Frankie Reynolds of Gallentin, TN; brother Eugene Saylor of Stoney Fork, KY.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11am at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Gerdan Lee Saylor, Rev. Don Messer and Bro. Arthur Jackson; music will be provided by Faye Messer; burial will follow in Big Run Cemetery at Stoney Fork.
