Obituary for Henry Jones (1945-2020)

Mr. Henry Jones age 74 of Woolum, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home. He was the son of Charlie Jones and Dora (Caldwell) Jones, born to them on December 25, 1945. He united in marriage with Opha Jane Napier and to this union two daughters were born. Henry was saved and baptized at a young age. He retired from Rumpke Sanitation in Cincinnati, Ohio. Henry loved life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with his family and friends and especially loved being with his grandchildren.

          He is preceded in death by his wife Opha Jones, a daughter, Mary Jones, his parents, Charlie and Dora Jones, five siblings, Harry Jones, Charlene Shiftlet, Ruth Ann Patterson, Clyde Jones and Gary Jones.

          Left behind to mourn his passing, a daughter, Daisy Allem of Woolum, seven grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Minnie Noble, Judy Noble, Ashley Allen, Frankie Poindexter, Trinity Allen and Briana Blum, eleven great grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Natalie, Tony, Tessa, Savanah, Landon, Silas, Matthew, Sebastion, Syper and Bentlee, six brothers, Raymond Jones of Greenroad, Hugh Jones of Heidrick, Harold Jones of Corbin, Tom Jones of Hamilton, Ohio, Mike Jones of Corbin and Terry Jones of Columbus, Ohio. He also leaves behind his best friends Chester and Ruth Cross along with a host of many other relatives and friends.

          Funeral services for Mr. Henry Jones will be conducted on Sunday, December 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jones Cemetery at Woolum. Pallbearers will be family & friends.

Face covering will be required as well as social distancing guidelines of six feet apart will need to be followed during all our services. This is for the safety of our families, visitors’ and staff.
