Obituary for Helen Faye Jordan (1971-2025)

Mrs. Helen Faye Jordan, 53, of Callebs Creek, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 9, 2025 at her home.  She was born on April 20, 1971 in Barbourville to Carl Keene and the late Vivian Hubbard Keene.

Helen was a retired certified nurse aide and a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church, where she served and was a member of the Women’s group.  She faithfully served her country in the United States Army and was a mechanic with the 82nd airborne division.  Helen was a hard working and caring individual as she often spent time caring for sick family members.  She also enjoyed watching movies, listening to music from the eighties and appreciating art.  Helen loved to read and collect books and had a dream of someday writing her own.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

On October 3, 2009, she united in marriage with Wesley Jordan.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Chasity Anna Henson; two infant grandchildren; an aunt, Phyllis Jones and an uncle, Walter Hubbard.

Survivors include her loving husband, Wesley Jordan of Hinkle; her father, Carl Keene of Cannon; dearly loved children, Kristin Henson and husband, Chase, and James Collins and wife, Rosemary, all of Barbourville; Sidney Coulter and wife, Annie, and Steven Coulter all of Cannon, Megan Jordan and Brittany Jordan both of Hinkle and Brandon Jordan of Columbus, OH; sisters, Kendra Bargo of Hinkle and Kirstie Warren and husband, Scott, of Cannon; cherished grandchildren, Rilynn Faye Coulter, Dawson Kade and Dallas Jade Henson, Bentley and Brilee Smith, Jayvon Phillips, Emma and Kyson Engle; a nephew, Benjamin Warren; great nieces, Kaydencee and Vivian Bargo and Madalynn Hollingsworth; great nephews, Oliver and Griffin Bargo; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, January 17 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Herman Mills, Rev. Ricky Broughton and Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Steven Coulter, James Collins, Benjamin Warren, Chase Henson, Scott Warren and Jeremiah Bargo.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.

The family has requested that contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
