Mr. Harold G. Baker, 81, of Barbourville, passed away Friday morning, April 22, 2022 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was the son of the late Clarence and Bessie Davis Baker born on December 14, 1940 in Knox County.
Harold was a former employee of the Knox County Board of Education, business owner and a member of the Parkway Baptist Church. He was a former member of Masonic Lodge 187. Harold enjoyed watching westerns, but most loved spending time with his family.
On March 1, 1960, he united in marriage with Rae Ann Shepherd and to this union four children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Sandra King and a brother, Curtis Baker.
Survivors include his three dearly loved children, Tammy Lynn Phipps and Bruce Mills of Flat Lick, Cynthia Bennett and Billy James Baker and wife, Kayle, all of Barbourville; six cherished grandchildren, Kadi Jordan and husband, Justin, Anthony King, Ali Bennett, Marena King and fiancé, Tyler Elliott, Paige Hobbs and husband, Austin, and Kelsea King; four great grandchildren, Danni Beth Jordan, Gavin Jordan, Zoey Beth Abner and Annie James Hobbs; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, April 28 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Davis Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Anthony King, Tyler Elliott, Bruce Mills, Austin Hobbs, Justin Jordan and Gavin Jordan.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
