Mr. Harold Dewayne Liford, 71, of Hinkle, the widower of Connie Sue Burton, passed away Monday afternoon, March 15, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Belle Mills Liford born on August 21, 1949 in Knox County.
Harold was a former General Motors employee and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior just days before he passed. He enjoyed hunting and being out doors.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Payne, Pauline Rhodes, Verdie Jones and Norma Jean Doolin and a brother, Lonnie Liford.
Survivors include his beloved children, Donna Jackson of Manchester, Brian Burton of Artemus and Curtis Burton and wife, Katrina, of Hinkle; a brother, Dean Liford of Hinkle; seven grandchildren, Cody, Natasha, Chelsea, Kylee, Payton, Trayce, Josh and wife, Andrea; three great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Jaeden and one expected to arrive soon; a special nephew, Tony Rhodes; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, March 19 at 3 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Fisher officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Tony Rhodes, Cody Jackson, Trayce Johnson, Garry Jackson, Tommy Jackson and Caanan Lockhart.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
