Mrs. Gretta Mae Adams, 85, of Rockholds, passed away Wednesday morning, December 18, 2019 at the home of her brother. She was the daughter of the late Jim Harve and Radie Mossie Mayne Partin born on September 4, 1934 in Knox County.
Mae was a former cashier with Kroger and a member of the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning and cooking.
On August 26, 1983, she united in marriage with Lloyd F. Adams in Wayne, MI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; three sisters, Ora Dell Partin, Nona Beauchamp and Mary Francis Smith and five brothers, Steely, Franklin D., J. L., Ernest and Lawrence Partin.
Survivors include a sister, Theresa Partin of Rockholds; two brothers, Rev. Johnny Partin and Charles Partin and wife, Mary, all of Siler; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, December 21 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Ronnie Rose and Rev. Dana Akins officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
