Obituary for George Henry “Bugsy” Wagers, Jr. (1970-2021)

Mr. George Henry “Bugsy” Wagers, Jr. age 51 of Manchester, departed this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home. He was the son of Ella M. (Smith) Wagers and the late George Henry Wagers born to them on August 11, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio.

      Left behind to mourn his passing, his mother, Ella Wagers of London, his fiance’ Kimberly Hubbard, two sons, George Brian Wagers of Barbourville and William Leander Wagers of London, one daughter Keisha Henson, of Tennessee, two grandchildren, four sisters, Ella Lane Boyd of London, Charlene Spivey of London, Mary Farler of Manchester and Clarissa Wagers of Manchester. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

      Funeral services for Mr. Wagers will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Missionary of Christ Church in Manchester with Rev. Bobby Charles Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. He will be laid to rest in the Thompson Cemetery at Goose Rock. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the church on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
