Frankie Carlos Doolin age 67 of Heidrick departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was born on July 16, 1954, in Knox County, the son of Sterling and Mary Doolin. On August 4, 1973, he united in marriage with Bobbie Hale and to this union two daughters were born. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Barbourville. He loved collecting antiques and die cast cars and going “junkin”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Mary (Abner) Doolin, his mother and father-in-law, Myrl Hale and Mae (Broughton) Hale, a sister-in-law, Betty Sue Hale, a brother-in-law, Frankie Root, a nephew, Donnie Tarlton Lawson, a great niece, Presley James Doolin, along with several aunts, uncles and other loved ones.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife of forty-nine years, Bobbie (Hale) Doolin, his two daughters, Preshus Howard and husband Billy of Heidrick and Ashley and George Messer of Bimble, a granddaughter, Raegan Howard of Heidrick, one sister, Jackie Root of Girdler, two brothers, Mike Doolin and wife Kopie of Girdler and Kevin Wayne Doolin and wife Kathy of Heidrick. Frankie also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, great nieces and great nephews and many other relatives and friends that are too numerous to list.
A celebration of Frankie’s life will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at J. Hall’s Farm with Pastor Greg McClellan presiding. Family & friends may also tell a story or share a memory of Frankie if they would like.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested that donations be made in his honor to the Kentucky Organ Donation Affiliates, First Christian Church in Barbourville or to the Donnie Lawson-Jonathan Anderson scholarship fund at Union College.
