Frank Major was born June 17, 1946, in the Panama Canal Zone and departed this life Sunday, March 31, 2024, at his home in Heidrick, Kentucky. He lived to be 77 years, 9 months, and 14 days of age.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Mills Major; his parents, Kenneth and Dilia Major; and one brother, Kenneth Major.
Frank was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. God was first and foremost in his life. He was also a deeply loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He leaves behind his daughter, Kim Donovan, of Mountainburg, Arkansas; daughter, Amber Barton, of Heidrick, Kentucky; son, Dillion Major, of Corbin, Kentucky; daughter, Michelle French and husband, Tim French, of Corbin, Kentucky; son, Brian Kilgore and wife, Kara Kilgore, of Heidrick, Kentucky; grandchildren: Caitlin Kilgore, Marisa French, Jonah French and fiancée, Emily Wooton, Christian French, Jenna Major, Kylie Kilgore, Clay Major, Avery Major, and Macie Major; great-grandchildren: KenzLee Elizabeth French, Attica Stone French, and another great-grandchild due to be born in the fall; brother, Wesley O. Major and wife, Irma Major, of Louisiana; brother, David Major and wife, Dina Major, of Texas; sister, Marlene Major, of Pennsylvania; sister, Janet Downing and husband, Donald Downing, of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.
Deeply loved, he will be forever missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vernon Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
