Obituary for Floyd “Pete” Grubb (1955-2020)

Floyd “Pete” Grubb, age 65 of Flat Lick was born in Barbourville, KY on March 1, 1955 to the late Leonard and Rosie Gray Grubb and departed this life on March 7, 2020 in the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.  He was a member of Old Ark House of Prayer and enjoyed fishing, going to Flea Markets, and time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, a brother: Emanuel Grubb; and 2 sisters: Jeanetta Karst and Lovella Swafford preceded him in death.

Pete is survived by his loving children: Leonard Grubb of Hinkle and Amy Burnett and husband Shaun of Knox County; step children: Steven Dees and Stephanie Dees both of Barbourville; his soulmate: Jennifer Dees of Barbourville; a brother: Edward Grubb and wife Debbie of Barbourville; a special nephew: Jimmy Grubb and wife Miranda of Barbourville; 3 grandchildren: Sarah Olivia Grubb, Taylor Eversole, and Tyler Grubb; a great grandchild: Lincoln Tyler Grubb; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Floyd “Pete” Grubb will be conducted in the Old Ark House of Prayer on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jimmy Grubb officiating.  Burial will be private to the family.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Old Ark House of Prayer Sunday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
