Mr. Floyd Messer age 75 of Hinkle, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at his residence. He is the son of Ellis and Nancy Messer. He was born on September 30, 1948 in Hinkle, Ky. Floyd was a truck driver and mechanic for Myers Chevrolet.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Nancy Messer, his first wife Leona Smith Messer of 42 years, stepson Billy Smith, eight siblings Crit Messer, Creed Messer, Bobby Messer, Tip Messer, Joycelene Farris, Linda Mills, Mittie Alice Messer, Love Messer.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Irma Jewell (Jordan) Messer, five stepchildren David Smith and wife Kim of Ohio, Sharon Saylor and husband Granville of Ohio, Joyce Lamb and husband Vincent of Ohio, James Smith and wife Emmy of Ohio, Derry Smith and wife Ginger of Ohio, three siblings Ona Mae Taylor of Barbourville, Alvin Messer and wife Lois of Gridler, Larry Messer and wife Marsha of Barbourville, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Messer will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ricky Broughton and Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery at Hinkle, Ky. Pallbearers will be Nephews and Friends. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
