Mr. Finley Johnson, age 74 of Bimble, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1950 in Barbourville, the son of George and Gracie Johnson. He united in marriage with Cora Longsworth and to this union two children were born. Finley was a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer. He enjoyed life and liked tinkering with his old truck.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife and two brothers, Melvin and Earnest Johnson and two sisters, Maggie Johnson and Lois Gray.
Left behind to mourn his passing, two sons, George Johnson and wife Penny of Gray and Finley Johnson, Jr. of Indiana, one brother, J.B. Jordan and one sister, Ella Johnson both of Bimble, three grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Corey Johnson and Precious Johnson and two great grandchildren, Bryson Johnson and Hunter Smith. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Finley Johnson will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Roy Eversole officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Eversole-Mills Cemetery at Girdler. Pallbearers will be, Thomas Jordan, James Jordan, Powion Brown, Virgil Longsworth, Roy Longsworth, Tim Longsworth and Sam Castle. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
