Farley Gene Collins, Sr., age 71 of Hinkle, KY was born in Knox County, KY on May 14, 1949 to the late Finley Collins and Violet Merida Collins and departed this life on March 8, 2021 at his home. He was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting guns, walks in the mountain, Ginseng hunting, and time with family and friends.
His parents: Finley and Violet Collins preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife: Tressie Collins of Hinkle, KY; 5 sons: Farley Collins, Jr., James Robert Collins, and Fairrow Collins and wife Angela all of Hinkle, Joseph Collins of Girdler, and Jason Garvin Collins of Cannon; a sister: Anna Lois Mills and husband Chalice of Mills Creek; 4 brothers: Evan Robert Collins and David Collins and wife Carol all of Hinkle, and Brad Collins and Joseph Collins all of Cannon; 8 grandchildren: James Robert Collins, Kristen Henson, Jason Collins, Jr., Destiny Collins, Kylie Marie Collins, Chase Collins, Abbigale Mills, and Harold Fowler, III; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Farley Collins, Sr. will be conducted in the Collins Family Cemetery on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Alonzo Messer officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Family and Friends will gather at Graveside in the Collins Family Cemetery on Paynes Creek Rd. at 12:00 Noon on Saturday. Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor on gatherings all who attend will be required to wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
