Barbourville, Ky. – Esther Marie Mills, 78, of Hinkle, Kentucky passed away October 28, 2023. Esther was the daughter of Thomas Leo Conley and Hilda Eunice Johnson Conley born to them on May 25, 1945, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Esther worked at the Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program for the State of Ohio. She was a spiritual woman, relying on her faith in times of need. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed reading romance novels, watching movies and shopping. She was also a lover off all things Elvis and a collector of dragon and dragonfly figurines.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her daughters Bridget Mills and Samantha Felts (Brandon), stepson Mike Gilmore, sisters Ollie “Bea” Ward (Rick) and Martha Clemmons, and brother Adam “Buster” Conley. Twelve grandchildren, Stephen Mills (Rachel), Tuesday Conley, Johnny France (Eller), Terry France, Amanda Conley, Donna France, Amber Merrill, Tonya Tuttle (Josh), Ella Felts, Christopher Felts, Justin Felts and Alice Felts also survive Esther as does Keith France whom she thought of like a son.
In addition to her parents, Thomas and Hilda Conley, Esther was preceded in death by sons James Conley and Michael Conley, grandson William (Billy) Felts, brother Thomas Conley and sister Chasteena Conley.
No public services are planned.
Esther will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
